About

Pawz and Clawz was created by groomers for your pets! Christina has always had a dream to start her own grooming shop since she started grooming in 2021. Before her grooming career, Christina was an accomplished museum curator that worked setting up exhibits with figures such as Snoopy and Michelle Kwan. When the pandemic happened, museums were hit hard due to no one visiting and lack of funding. With incredible determination, she decided to change her career and apply her talent and knowledge as an artist and her love of animals to start dog grooming.

Christina has done a lot in the past 5 years. She got trained and certified to work with both dogs AND cats (a feat not many try!) and has become the premier cat groomer in a 45-mile area. Her dog grooming skills are also top-notch, and she even has a few dog clients currently in competition for best breed!

Earlier in her grooming career, Christina worked for “mom and pop” groomers and corporate salons as a manager. She saw a falling out on both sides, with many businesses sacrificing personalized care for clients and their families in order to push higher volume and profit. Because of this, Christina was compelled to work towards owning a business that could prioritize a personal relationship with clients once more. She is dedicated to working with you on a one-on-one basis to guarantee the best care for your pet, and to ensure pets and their parents both leave her salon feeling satisfied.

Behind the scenes, her husband Matt worked tirelessly for over half a year to secure the logistics that could make Christina’s dream a reality. Pawz and Clawz is built on the strong foundation of the people who brought it to life. From hand-picked groomers with over 15 years collective experience, to the decor curated to foster a soothing and homely atmosphere, we hope you see the love and care that has been placed into making this a premier space for you and your pets.
